In this tour, we’ll discover the old Lisbon, visiting Bairro Alto, Chiado, Baixa, entering the old alleyways of Alfama and stopping at great sightseeing points, where you have wonderful panoramic views of Lisbon. Along the way, we can also use a city’s funiculaire.

LISBON WALKING TOUR - IN DEPTH
(8 hours max)
In this tour besides the old neighbourhoods of Lisbon, included on the 4hour walking tour (central area with Baixa, Bairro Alto, Chiado) we’ll also take a transportation to visit the area of Belém, with the Jerónimos monastery (entrance church) and the Belém Tower, two of the most important monuments dating from the 16th century. The golden age of Portugal, the discoveries period, when Vasco da Gama arrived in India and Pedro Álvares Cabral discovers Brasil. These are the two most important monuments in Manueline Style ( Portuguese style of the 16th century named after King Manuel).

SINTRA - Half or full day tours to the beautiful village and mountain of Sintra, situated 30 minutes outside Lisbon, where the Portuguese Royal family used to spend their holidays. In a full day tour, time to stop at the Roca Cape and Cascais or Praia das Maçãs and Azenhas do Mar. We’ll give the best suggestions for your lunch time. Please enquire for pricing. This could be centered around food and Lisbon's great restaurants (Portuguese GASTRONOMY has recently been gaining international recognition, and you can now find our cakes in cafés around the world), WINE tasting (in one of the cellars in the vicinity of Lisbon), FADO (the portuguese traditional style of singing, with it's distinct style in Lisbon and accompanied by the Portuguese guitar with it’s round shape and 12 strings), literature (Portuguese is one of the oldest languages in the world with amazing writers for whom Lisbon has been a huge source of inspiration), theatre, nature, photography, architecture, ceramics.
If you would like to discover the surrounding areas of Lisbon, there are also plenty of options; traveling north, we can find the beautiful medieval village of ÓBIDOS, the important monasteries of BATALHA and ALCOBAÇA or the sanctuary of FÁTIMA.
To the south, we have the Alentejo region, with it’s vineyards, and the world patrimony city of ÉVORA , where the best preserved Portuguese roman temple is situated.
